The Business of Fashion Networking Event SUMMER EDITION

One of our more recent events was at The Rooftop in Rockville (right across the street from our boutique!) Models, photographers, designers and anyone in the industry (or not) showed up for drinks and fashion. There was a DJ, free makeovers by Motives and a beautiful view of the Rockville Town Square. The fashion show was such a hit that we had to open up the shop exclusively for one attendee who was so excited to purchase one of the favorite looks of the night - sleek and stylish Ark & Co. slacks in parrot green paired with a flowy, cream-colored Ark & Co. chiffon blouse.

Afternoon of Fun in Rockville Town Center

What's one fun advantage of being next door neighbors with Toy Kingdom? Being able to take a moment out of your day to hug and pose with fun characters like Curious George! Which is exactly what Red Hue Boutique owner Silvia Huezo did when Curious George came down to visit in March. There's never a dull moment in Rockville Town Center.

The Business of Fashion Networking : Event at Red Hue Boutique

While Red Hue Boutique is known for its great customer service and high-quality, unique and uber-chic merchandise, they are always looking to host and be apart of events occurring in the fashion world. A few months back, on January 17, Red Hue Boutique and DC Magazine hosted a mini-seminar on branding, marketing and promoting for designers, photographers, bloggers, MUAs, hairstylists, retail entrepreneurs, and others involved in the dynamic business of FASHION. The event featured guest speakers Kristin Ikenson, from DC Magazine, Katherine Martinez, from La Petite Marmoset, and surprise guest speaker Deidre Jeffries, from ESPION Atlier. As if these guests weren't enough of a treat, there was also a complementary mani bar by GEORGE BACCHUS SALON & SPA and free mini make-overs by MOTIVES make up artists.

Beauty in Bloom

A lot has been going on since 2012 started! Back in February we had a Beauty in Bloom Fashion show. It took place in our boutique and it was a huge success! The event showcased the Spring 12 line. There were swag bags, giveaways and workshops. An extra bonus: makeovers by Motives by Loren Ridinger. The fun did not stop there either. There was a 30% discount on must-have merchandise. RedHue loves to have a good time and the Beauty in Bloom Fashion Show was just that.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

We love when our customers are satisfied. This customer was so excited to buy her C. Luce skirt that she wore it out of the store! We still have a few left so hurry in and grab yours!

Generation Latina

November was a busy month for us at Red Hue Boutique. From fashion shows to photoshoots to interviews. This time I got to chat and share my story with Generacion Latina. A local Television show for young Latinos that highlights Latinos in the local community and their stories. So if you've ever wondered who's behind Red Hue and what she's all about here it is:

Oh the Holidays!

My FAVORITE time of the year! The smell of cinnamon and mint in the air, the lights, the trees, the red and green, family, friends, love. I got a little creative this time around and came up with an idea for the coolest Christmas tree ever (see photo below.) We wish everyone a great Holiday Season and nothing but the best in the new year! Here's a recap of our Holiday funz.

A gift from a very special customer!

I can see clearly now

So I'm  a little obsessed with the new windows at Rockville Town Square. Every time I walk by on the way to the garage I have to turn and admire the wonderful work of the window dresser and all the interesting products our shops have to offer. I especially love our window with the yellows and creams. Can't wait to see what the Spring/Summer windows will look like....

Show me your MUMU!

Welcome our new addition! Show Me Your Mumu! A fun easy going brand proudly made in the USA! We love supporting the domestic garment industry. We are sure it will become a fan favorite. The celebs are already all over it too! Check out Vanessa Hudgens wearing her Mumu. Our model wears the same print in the Maxi version and we must say we LOVE how it can be taken from day to night.

FALLin in Love!

As the fullness of FALL rolled in we whipped out the camera and shot some of our latest stock in what better place than at our neighbors! We used the wonderfully decorative The Cottage Monet as our dinner party backdrop for our black Red Hue cocktail dress and the always pretty and prim Pomegranate and Co. for our weekend Gracia sweater look. We truly have some cute little shops here at Rockville Town Square!

Why Rockville?

Coulours of Sickle Cell Anemia Benefit Show

This past November we got the opportunity to also showcase Red Hue as a brand at the Coulours of Sickle Cell Benefit Fashion Show. The event was held November 21st, 2011 at the Riot Comedy Act Theater in DC.  The event brought together many local designers and local models in benefit patients who suffer from sickle cell anemia and can not afford the much needed medical treatment. Local actress and model Jamairais Malone who herself suffers the illness, produced the show in support of those living with Sickle Cell Anemia.

From Heart to Heart

On November 4, 2011 we had the pleasure of working with the City of Rockville in a spectacular event aimed at promoting healthy hearts among the Latino women community. We were one of the official sponsors of the night and got the opportunity to showcase some of our red pieces. We counted on the magnificent MUA Gaby Diaz and the wonderful hairstylist from Prestige Hair Salon in Gaithersburg to make our looks complete. We were so honored to be part of this awesome campaign and hope to join in next year!

We're Pet Friendly!

Ever passed our shop while walking your pup and wished so hard you could come in an try on that cute little dress in the window, but thought you couldn't because of your precious little pup? Well next time you find yourself in this predicament just bring the little guy or girl in with you! That's right we're pet friendly. We love it when our customers bring in their four legged companions. They make great shopping buddies and to be honest we just love to smother them. And they love it here too. Just check out this pretty Lady, making herself comfortable while mommy tried on some clothes.

And just for the heck of it, the most awesome picture of my pupster:

Trick or Treat at Rockville Town Square

This past October RTS and Mommy & Me coordinated trick or treating around the square. We brought out our face painting table which is always a hit with the kids. We also served cookies and candy for the trick or treaters. Here's a few photos from that day!

More Happy Customers!

As the summer came to an end our favorite summer styles made their way out of the shop. Luckily some happy customers came back wearing their Red Hue Boutique purchases and others sent us their fan pics. We LOVE our customers!
